Moonlighting

I have  a post up at The League of Ordinary Gentlemen about the death of Jack Layton and the effect it has had on Canada. With this post, I was writing for an American audience in an attempt to give them a bit of an idea of what’s going on up here. Regardless of his politics, there’s no argument that his death has had a profound effect.

It was a surprise, but, perhaps, not a shock. His medical history was well-known, and at recent events, his appearance told the grave tale of his battle. Nonetheless, the public was not prepared for this. It has been a significant blow to the nation, and it seems clear that we did not fully understand just what Jack Layton meant to us.

If you are so inclined, please feel free to pop over to The League and share your thoughts with our neighbours to the south.
