Ratzinger is simply another in a very long line of those complicit in child sexual abuse, he will be replaced by another who has been equally complicit in that abuse, and the great wheel of Vatican life will turn.
My first thought on his resignation announcement was “when will the personal scandal he can’t avoid” hit the media?

Thanks for the link, R. It would be wonderful if the Pope changed course and started righting some of the wrongs of the church.
